How to determine load by rate quickly and simply.
RR Load
RR Load: 375
RR Spring rate: 225
Height: 13" free
Load / Rate = Load (375/225=1.650 or 1-5/8)
Free height - 1.625 ' = compressed height
13" - 1.625 = 11.375
At 11.375, you will have a spring load of 375 pounds.
This needs to be at ride height.
LR Load
LR Extended Load: 185-225 pounds
LR Spring Rate: 125 x 16
Free Height: 16"
Load / Rate = Compressed Height
200/125 = 1.6"
16 - 1.6 = 14.4 or just over 14-3/8"
When setting the load on RR, you need to be at ride height and the car setting on the ground. You can do this with or without a driver; just do it the same way all the time.
The LR needs to be set with the tire just hanging or just off the ground. ( on the chain)
