16 Series Shock

The 16 Series shock has come into play due to a rule change in the hope of cutting the cost of racing. The 16 Series shock is a one-piece body design with no gas port and what we call a Mid-West seal head. This is a sealed shock that is NOT rebuildable by us or others. But on the other hand, it can be valved to perfection from the start. In this class where we are limited to a smaller motor, we will need to work on turning the car better with the front tire contact patch instead of slipping the rear tires. This is a full-size shock that comes in a 7-inch and a 9-inch and has the coil-over rings cut into the body. This shock has a high-flow linear piston that is coupled with a ring shim setup to allow it to become a degressive build which is highly recommended on dirt. Along with a low drag seal head and a low drag divider, this shock is designed to make feel for the driver. Here are some of the benefits of running a 16 Series Shock.

  •       Low drag assembly, which includes the divider, seal, and main      piston.

  •       Bronze-coated Teflon wear band reduces friction and increases sealing.

  •       One-piece body design without an external fill port.

  •       Shim technology.

  •      High-flow linear piston design.

  •      SRT piston option for better flow in the rough.

  •      Ring groves cut for coil over kits.
